Progressively faded tattoo till visibly unnoticeable
Less than 20 minutes, depending on size of treatment area
Using the Lutronic’s Spectra laser, we can lighten and even completely remove unwanted tattoos.
The Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivers 1064nm wavelength of light that penetrates deep into the skin. This energy is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink which then breaks into smaller particles. Through repeated treatments, ink particles are broken down into sizes that are small enough to be processed by surrounding blood cells. As the blood cells remove the ink debri, the original tattoo fades in intensity.
The treatment area is cleansed. Numbing cream is applied. Cold air is blown over treatment area as the laser is applied. The laser feels as if a rubber band is snapping on the skin.
Treatment time is typically less than 20 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated.
There is usually no downtime and normal activities can be resumed.
Occasionally, there can be some pinpoint bleeding or blisters but these are only temporary, not lasting for more than a week. Appropriate post-laser care is advised
Tattoos progressively lighten over a series of treatment until they become visibly unnoticeable. However, each tattoo is unique and the number of laser sessions required is estimated to range from 6-12 sessions, or even more. This really depends on specific characteristics of the tattoos, namely:
Professionally-inked versus amateur
Depth of tattoos
Age of tattoos
Type and colour of inks used
Individual’s health status
Individual results may vary.
For best outcomes, laser treatment is repeated after 4-6 weeks.
